我家门前有一条小溪，小溪的石头缝里常常藏着许多螃蟹。每到暑假，我就和伙伴们一起下溪捉螃蟹。
有一次，我捉到了两只比较小的螃蟹，在伙伴们的怂恿下，我决定把它们带回家养起来。我把螃蟹关在一个大脸盆里，上面用木板盖住，木板上打了三个大大的洞，这样螃蟹能呼吸到新鲜的空气。我以为这样螃蟹就能生活下去了，以后就很少去看它。
一天，我突然记起螃蟹来，急忙跑去看看它们死没死。当掀开木板时，我看见一只螃蟹躲在脸盆的一个角落里，四只脚蜷缩在身子下，像快要死的样子。另一只螃蟹的脚还在无力地爬动，我用手轻轻碰了碰它，感觉软软的。难道是两只螃蟹打架了？
